CDO token issuance (XRPL + Ledger Nano S)
This subdomain is dedicated to the operational checklist for issuing the CDO token on XRP Ledger. The token is not “stored” on the Ledger device — the Ledger stores the private key and signs XRPL transactions.
What you need
- Ledger Nano S with the XRP app installed and opened
- An issuer account created on the Ledger (seed never leaves the device)
- A small amount of XRP on the issuer account for XRPL reserves/fees
- XRP Toolkit (recommended): xrptoolkit.com
High-level issuance flow
- Create issuer account on Ledger Nano S (cold issuer).
- Fund issuer with XRP (reserve + fees).
- Set issuer flags (AccountSet) as required by your policy.
- Create trustline from the distribution wallet to the issuer for CDO.
- Issue CDO by sending an IOU payment from issuer to the distribution wallet.
- Verify on XRPL (issuer address, currency code, trustlines, and supply policy).
Note: The recommended architecture is cold issuer + hot/distribution wallet. If you choose a single-wallet setup, you increase operational risk.
